restart required?

Hi,

is there something an add-on (written in Java) can do after its installation so the user doesn't need to restart OOo? The add-on in my case adds a menu entry.

I am not sure the addon example in SDK require restarting OOo.

I just found out you don't need to restart OOo. It's enough to open a new window. The new window will then show my menu item.
