Hello
Getting ready to build a new computer and wonder if there will be any comptability issues?
I will be using either Windows 2000, or XP Professional (not the 64 bit version) as my OS.
Thanks |

You shouldn't have any compatibility problems there. Going for a 64-bit processor is a very good idea but don't get an Intel, they're useless at 64-bit. Going for a 64-bit OS would help too as then you could run 64-bit software, taking full advantage of the processor. 32-bit software will die out at some point too. _________________ Arch Linux

Thanks for the reply.
I will eventually switch over to 64 bit OS, and am exploring the various Linux flavors available.
I've heard a lot of bad things about Windows XP 64 bit. |
