Hi,
I was wondering if anyone knows anything about the AutoText file format, since it seems to me that it would be a superlatively good idea if this file format could be generated.
My scenario: I'd like to generate a number of AutoText entries from a database-based glossary system which I have elsewhere in another system. Generating any kind of export file from this system is a no-brainer, especially XML.
I thought this would be a real winner with Writer, since it is XML-based with its file format, and I was hoping Writer would use some kind of nice XML-based file to organize its AutoTexts.
However, when I looked in my AutoText file on my system -- called 'mytexts.bau' -- I found that it is is obviously a binary file.
That seems a bit of a shame, so does anyone have any more information on this?
Thanx in advance! _________________ OOo usage is v.2.0, mostly Writer. At work I'm evaluating OOo as a solution for publishing product manuals. OS is Windows XP. At home I use OOo for all kinds of text processing. My partner will be writing her thesis using Writer. OS is Debian Linux |
