Copy your data from calc
From the context-menu of your tables-container in base (the white space where the tables live) choose "Insert"
A small wizzard pops up ...
This clipboard-import is not reliable, throws errors where nothing is wrong and it
fails at conversion of date/time-values.
Right now I'm in the process of developing something more useful. I need to finish my calc-part within this weekend. The database part will be done by someone else.
Take a few minutes time and do some experiments with the builtin tool without spoiling important data. Sometimes it works.
