I have installed ver 2.0.0_rc2, but for some reason I can't get Base to work. The program as such runs well enough apparently, but every time I try to do anything other than stare at the opening screen, such as create a new database or connect to Oracle via JDBC, all I get is 'JRE must be installed'.
However, I have now tried installing both blackdown-jre and -sdk as well as the one from Sun together and seperately, but to no avail. So will I simply have to give this up altogether? |

Tools > Options > OpenOffice.org > Java, make sure that a JRE is selected. _________________ Arch Linux

| OK - but how do I install a JRE, then? I have never used java, so I don't know what to look for when I press the 'Add' button. |
