|
|
I'm studing base with some progress...
When I realized programs with Access, I divided the front end to back end.
In Base I can make the same thing manually and it is not a problem.
Is it possibile to compile a base file to something similar to an Access MDE?
The goal is:
To have a program that can not simply be broken from curious users (that can, for
example, change my macros).
To protect my enterprises macro (I'm not the final owner of my office work)
If not how can I "lock" my forms preventing customers auto damage?
Thank you (I hope that I can give back your helps in a future day...) |

| You could ask for this feature by submitting a request to the Issue Tracker at http://qa.openoffice.org |

Hi, I'sorry to ask you in this way.
Whith issue tracker and others components on the same page I can not found an answer to the compiled base question.
There is another way to have an answer?
In Italy there's no way to get this information so I try in english forum but is not easy for me.
Thank you |

Sorry, I was not verbose. To answer your original question: No, I don't think there is a way to "lock" your OpenOffice.org Base project in order to prevent tampering. In other words, there is no such feature available. Therefore, I suggest you use the Issue Tracker to request that the OpenOffice.org developers add such a feature in the future.
I looked, and there is already an issue which may be what you want: Issue 9643: document locking features. However, the record shows that there is no substantial progress. |
