First I used them to install OOo 2.0.x. After that I deleted them all. I just kept the downloaded OOo file to reinstall OOo if needed.
With kind regards

Holsten:
And that doesn't cause any problems? I mean, that's the standard procedure that everyone is supposed to follow after doing an install? Is there a help file that describes this? |

You will need them when you want to repair or remove your installation.
I always keep them until the next version comes out and, since I never install atop the former version I use these to uninstall. When the next version works all right I trash the former one's downloaded file and installation files. It is never good to keep much crap on the desktop, anyhow. |

I've never needed the installation files to remove an OpenOffice.org installation. I simply call "Software" from my Windows "System settings" and select "Remove" besides OOo. No problem.

hol.sten,
I'm of the keep the files variety but I never let the installer unpack to the desktop which is just the default.
The question is can you do a Repair or Modify once you have deleted them? If the answer is "yes", then did you keep the original installation file? |

I never needed to repair or modify my installation. So I never tried it.

As I already wrote in this thread: Yes, I'm keeping the downloaded OOo installation file. I guess that I have to unpack this file to do a repair or a modify.
