I appreciate a new functionality
Select text, click right and select the language (more easy to do than paragraph is in... for all paragraph, including if orthographic faults are presents)
I have now some problems with Micro$oft word documents in more than 1 languages, in openoffice
PS: only propose language who dictionary are installed, and an option “others languages”

You would have more chance of success if you posted in the right place. This forum is for feedback about the Open Office Forums.
Try searching Bugs and Issues to see if your suggestion has already been asked for. If not, register and post a new issue for an enhancement to Writer.
