|
|
It has been suggested I post this here to see if anyone can help with this.
Simtool is an addin for Excel to carry out a range of Monte Carlo based models in Excel.
The code is freely available and the original author (Professor Roger Myerson) would be glad to work with someone in the OOo community to get it working in OOo.
The addin is available at http://home.uchicago.edu/~rmyerson/addins.htm
The code is at http://home.uchicago.edu/~rmyerson/tools.pdf
and the book that the program goes with is at:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0534423817/sr=8-1/qid=1140107366/ref=sr_1_1/102-9882753-4844953?%5Fencoding=UTF8
In spite of the title, this is an excellent book for any one interested in Monte Carlo modelling regardless of discipline.
I would be keen to see the addin available in Calc, but I don't have the skills to help.
At least some of the functions seem to work as they are, but things like the tool bar addin obviously don't
Can anyone help with this. If they can I would be pleased to put them in contact with Roger Myerson.
Many thanks,
Graham |

Second I have not tested the corresponding addin under Windows. |
Hello,
If you feel you can help then Roger Myersons web page with his email address is at
http://home.uchicago.edu/~rmyerson/
I have said that I was going to ask on this forum for someone to help, but as I have no skills in this area, but other than passing on the contact there is not much that I can do.
Thanks,
Graham |
