|
|
Hello,
I'm using OOo with oocalc to list some datas. Then I create a database from the spreadsheet.
After that I'm using the stickers wizard in order to create a ooo writer page with the content of my database. Everything works fine until this point. I'm adding some fields in the left top corner of the page, and hit "synchronize" in order to duplicate the appareance of the sticker. But when I want to print the database on the stickers, instead of putting one entry on every sticker, it duplicates the same entry on the whole page, and switch to a new entry on the next page. Is there an option to desactivate this ? I made the same operation for printing some addresses in the past, and it just worked fine, where could be the error ?
(sorry for the approximations in the words, I don't necessary know the equivalent in english to describe the problem)
Thank you in advance |

Normally you would add and organize your fields when you start the wizard. There is a place to do this on the 1st tab. You only need Synchronize if you are going to do some special formatting of the upper left label so normally it would be off.
If you really want to create the label after you leave the wizard then you need to put the Next Record field at the end of it. (Next Record is found at Insert > Fields > Other > Database tab.) |

I've posted a guide to doing mailing labels at....
http://sheepdogguides.com/fdb/fdb1addrlab.htm
Even using your system based on the spreadsheet, the problem of having a whole sheet of one label after "Synchronize labels" may not arise, even though it looks like it will. Just be sure to say "Yes" to the "Form letter?" question that pops up when you ask to print. If you STILL get a whole page of one label, the consider trying what's in the guide cited above. |

Hello,
yes, I needed to modify the format of the fonts, add a logo etc.
I didn't know about this " Next Record field ", thank you very much for pointing it to me, it's exactly what I needed, and it's working now. |
