|
|
I need to include the number of pages in EACH section):
Example (like ChrisChambers, in another thread
http://www.oooforum.org/forum/viewtopic.phtml?t=30714&sid=b4261790564fdcde539f810caf2529ad):
Lets say Chapter 1 has 3 pages and Chapter 2 has 4 and Chapter 3 has 2 the numbering would go;
1-1/3, 1-2/3, 1-3/3, 2-1/4, 2-2/4, 2-3/4, 2-4/4, 3-1/2, 3-2/2
Using a Master Document, I can get the TOTAL number of pages (9) but I can't find a way to insert the number of pages in EACH section.
How can I do it ?[/b] |

| No replies generally means no one knows how to do it. I don't think it can be done automatically. |

OK. I assume that this is not possible.
I don't really want to use Master Documents. I only use them because this is the only way I managed to get page numbers restarting in each chapter.
Is it possible to achive the result I need in a simple document, using sections (like in Word) ?
Page numbers in each section:
1-1/3, 1-2/3, 1-3/3, 2-1/4, 2-2/4, 2-3/4, 2-4/4, 3-1/2, 3-2/2 |

This is the second time I see Master Documents referred to today. Can someone provide or point me to a brief description of what they are and what they're used for?
Thanks. _________________ Quite simply, OOo Impress, does not.

| Not to my knowledge. It appears to be something you need to leave until the end and then just type in.
A posibility for a macro. |
