How do you spell "matinence"?
Because it sure isn't in the English dictionaries.

EDIT: Oddly enough, it finally worked. It wasn't picking up on a more common misspelling of it.
Maybe something with the way OpenOffice picks up on misspelled words?

Seems like it, I've seen similar things and for some reason, the Canadian EN dictionary seems to not believe that there is a work 'okay' but will suggest that "okay's" might be a good replacement!

The Wikipedia article on OK/okay is interesting:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Okay

I would think that okay is not a proper word. I would think that it is an attempt to turn OK, an abbreviation of something that doesn't seem to have been remembered, into a real word. Some of the proposed options seem a bit far fetched.

Kind of like having someone tell you, "Look in the dictionary to find out how that word is spelled." If I knew how it was spelled, I wouldn't have to look it up. If OO.o could just figure out what I meant to say...
