Can someone please explain in English (there may be explanations on the web in Chinese, but I can't understand them) how to get SCIM to work with OpenOffice on Gnome?
The SCIM icon appears on my bottom tool panel and SCIM works perfectly well with Thunderbird, Firefox, AbiWord and gedit but not The GIMP or OpenOffice. Using Smart Pinyin entry I just get the English/Roman characters I type.
I have entered:
$ export LC_CTYPE=zh_CN.UTF-8; export XMODIFIERS=@im=SCIM; scim -d
and:
# gtk-query-immodules-2.0 > /etc/gtk-2.0/gtk.immodules
You will find a number of other posts on this subject in this forum, but, so far, no-one has provided a solution. |
