|
|
Hi
I'm running open office 2X on Windows XP home. My machine is an Iqon with a 2800 Sempron processor and 756Mb ram. I have noticed that certain security software prevents the Quickstarter from displaying. For example AVG antivirus prevents the Icon from displaying but Avast 4.6 lets the quickstarter work.
I was wondering whether it's a memory issue
Any ideas anyone?
Thanks

No, that'll be the anti-vrius software taking issue with programs that run on start up. One way round: don't use anti-virus. Another way is that most anti-virus/firewall programs can have programs added to a whitelist. You could add the quickstarter to that whitelist. _________________ Arch Linux
