|
|
I recently downloaded and installed the OOoStat macro, primarily because I was hoping to get a better equipped set of graphing features, such as creating a Histogram that also displays the mean and standard deviation.
I haven't even gotten that far.
The problem is:
I go to the Histogram item in the OOoStat menu, and select it. It brings up a box with a place to enter the range of data to display in the histogram. I select a range of 22 cells with numerical data. I select a range or location for output of the graph, and click OK. It gives me a little error message box that says "Select some Data" with an ok box, and NOTHING HAPPENS!
I'm not experienced enough with the basic language or I would try to look at the macro itself, but it seems as if something very strange is going on. I have very clearly and very deliberately selected some data. But it doesn't seem to think that I have selected anything at all.
Any help, suggestions, etc. would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

Assuming that the version you have got is OOoStat 0.4 from http://www.ooomacros.org/user.php#106652 .

I experienced the same and
my guess is that this version of OOoStat is not ready to work with Ooo2.
It probably needs to be ported. |

Thanks for letting me know. I'll wait for a new version of OOoStat then.
Thanks,

I have tried the existing release of OOoStat on OpenOffice2.0 on WinXP, Linux and Solaris and am unable to reproduce the problems reported. The "Select Some Data" popup should indicate that one row only has been selected. Below shows form entries which should be chosen on the example data.
Which Language download was used - this may be the source of the problem (?).
Note that Histogram only sorts into bins, the chart must be done separately.

Works just fine here (OOo 2.0.1, Win XP & OOo 2.0.2, Linux). Has made OOo a viable choice for the company's next standard office suite (apparently archaeologists just can't live without bins...).
Thanks for all the work.
Cheers
