Someone wrote in for help in setting out a quote for computers and software. It never occurred to any of us to ask what sort of software, not that I have anything against Microsoft. But since he was adamant his team were on the ball about keeping costs down I just got the impression he was honest.
If he is geting help from us to say that he and his team have done their best to research the most future proof and inexpensive stuff you naturally assume it will be stuff for Linux which if Iam correct is pretty much the most future proof and stable OSs going.
Forceing some of the poorest people in the world tpo learn Microsoftware, is hardly the sort of responsible behaviour one would expect from honest tech support. |

I think you've posted the wrong link. The one in your original post goes to search results on correct usage of English... _________________ Dale

Perhaps that is why he feels stupid. |

That's about the closest thing to an on-topic comment so far on this thread. _________________ Quite simply, OOo Impress, does not.

I don't feel bad about that at all. This is the correct link. http://groups.google.co.uk/group/alt.english.usage/browse_frm/thread/27f5c67b429573f9/10fcbf067756a533#10fcbf067756a533
If you couldn't find it from the other, you had no desire to.
Besides. The OP has got what he wants and another generation is to be saddled with a double learning effort if they want to compute legally.
When I have cooled down a little I might begin to feel regrets that I went for his throat. But also that I was the only one; so I don't think I will sink far into despond. |

I'm cool. If they want the governance they deserve they can have it. Same with Chimpland. Meanwhile here in Ydleness we have our own scandalous money wastages and fraudsters.
Anyone know off-hand how it is possible for a granite water run to cost £700 per day to run? That's a quarter of a million pounds an year. |
