While printing a large document I noticed that the page margins were wrong. The margin was set to 2.5 cm left and right, but in the print version it is about 2.3 cm left and 2.7 cm right. It only prints correctly (i.e. centered) if I set the margin to 2.7 left and 2.3 right
After realising this I created a PDF file which has the same problem even on screen. The left margin is noticeably smaller than the right one.
I then used the "remove white margins" function Acrobat offers and it turns out that Acrobat thinks the page margin is 23.99 (left) and 19.4 (right) mm.
I thought the problem was somehow related to my file, so I created a new one and pasted some random text. Afterwards I changed the margins to 2.5 cm left and right and created a PDF. Using "remove white margins" in Acrobat again showed a difference between right and left margin.
I have no idea at all what might cause this, but it is quite annoying. I use OOo 2.0.2. Any ideas? |
