|
|
Twice tried to install 1.0.2 on a Windows XP platform, receiving the message "TCV.DLL component was unable to be registered." This is apparently a key component because the installation finished, but attempts to open Write failed. Note -- tried two different zip files, also tried Repair option.
Any clues or sympathizers? |

Yes, I sympathize.
Did you run an md5sum on your OOo 1.0.2 binaries? When installation fails, it's a good idea to check to see if your binaries are good.
I have OOo 1.0.2 running on an XP system and the installation proceeded flawlessly. You might also try a different installation method. Try using the /net install method. |

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried disabling my network card and then de-activating Norton's anti-virus. Installation proceeded without a hitch. |
