HI THERE AGAIN. I WILL EDIT MY POST SO WILL BE CLEAR TO YOU WHICH OF MY QUESTIONS HAVE BEEN ANSWERED. THANK YOU FOR HELPING ME OUT.
1.
is there a print in grayscale button?
2.
instead of B (bold) and I (italics) there are F and K (german i think). i do not use german. only greek and english. how do i change this?
3.
converted a doc (msofficeXP) to swx. whenever i close it, next time i open it, images are gone. what is going wrong here? (file format is now sxw, but still problems, as if it was doc)
4. NO MORE COMMENTS FOR THIS. THANKS.
why i can prin in landscape only from format > page > ...
and does not work from printers settings. i choose it but does not really do it
5.
is there a way to make objects like ms word art from inside writer instead using oo draw and copying to writer?
6.
is there a way to add more page boarders like ms word`s children, butterflies etc?
7. NO MORE COMMENTS FOR THIS. THANKS.
when writing numbers in table cells and put a "," sign between the numbers, it makes a rounding to number (example: if i write 4444444 , 536346 i get 4444444,54). keeps only 2 digits after the "," sign. how will a change this and set other default for permanent use?
8. NO MORE COMMENTS FOR THIS. THANKS.
is there a link where i can see the changes-additions of open office newer version? (first page non-numbering, better doc convert, adding keyboard shortcuts etc)
thanks in advance

With the cell in question selected, click on Format>Cells. Use the "decimal places" optino to increase tha number of places for your decimal numbers. |

I've come across the same problem. My work around: Alt-P to print. Select printer properties, then advanced. Change orientation for that printer. Okay till it prints.
However, the printer properties are reset whenever you leave the document or change target printers.
Cheers. |

1. look under properties of a printer.
printer settings --> properties --> device --> color
2. try the language settings under
tools --> options --> language settings
3. did you saved it as doc or as sxw?
4.
5. no, not that I'am aware of
8. try the OpenOffice page

did that. change only worked when i selected "resolutionj-quality-.." and changes the options at the right area. but this is too much for a medium user. should be on 1st window at printer. right?
2.

Are you using a localized build? Use the standard English version if you don't want localization. |

I know this doesn't help to say "I don't have that problem" but I don't
I just opened a doc that I made in WordXP, saved it as a sxw, then opened it again. The images were all still in the right spots.
If the document isn't too private, maybe you would like to pass it around and see what others experiences are with it. |
