Drawing Border - with optional sides

I want to draw a "border". However any of the 4 sides are optional.

So for example in the simplest case I have a rectangle, or 3 connected lines or two parallel lines or just one line.

I suppose I need to use PolyLineShape. Would this be the best way to go?

I wouldn't be suprised if someone has a macro for this, but I couldn't find one.

Does anyone know of one? Or a code snippet (in java or basic)?
