|
|
Hello.
I was wondering if it's possible to backup the changes I made to Open Office toolbars, such as the toolbars in Writer. I added some icons and moved a few around, and would like to save those changes in a file.
Is this possible, and if so, what is the procedure? Thank you very much!

Thank you.
Is this the only way to backup the data? I thought I read something about a feature built into Open Office that saves the changes, like Microsoft Office's Save My Settings wizard.
I might be mistaken about that. At any rate, thanks for the suggestion. Jd |

OpenOffice.org 2: How to find the settings files for different Operating Systems
The location of the user settings directory may be different depending on your operating system and whether you installed it for multiple users or with shared settings system-wide.
You can find the actual path in the Options dialog.
Tools > Options...
OpenOffice.org > Paths
Scroll down to User Configuration
The part of the path that is shared by User Configuration and User-defined dictionaries is the root path of your settings directory.
With Windows 98 with a single user Bhikkhu Pesala's suggested path is correct:
C:\WINDOWS\Application Data\OpenOffice.org2\user
With Windows XP with multiple users, the default is
C:\Documents and Settings\<user name>\Application Data\OpenOffice.org2\user
With Linux, the default is
$HOME/.openoffice.org2/user |
