I've a document from MSWord97 with a bulletted list of items. When I bring it into OOWriter the bullet shows up as a box. I can change it, but why can't I just set a default someplace so it looks ok on import?

I just installed OO 1.1 on Win98 and the bullets looked just find, so it appears to be a font problem. What can I do about this, ideas?

Are you saying that your bullets look fine? So what remains the problem? Indeed, OOo 1.1 has corrected some problems with iimporting bullets that existed in 1.0 versions.

OK, reading an other post of you clarifues the context. It appears that your problem occurs on Linux, not on Windows. It would be a good idea to make your postings "self containing", i.e., post all the necessary information with your post. Indeed, it will be a font problem. Perhaps the Word file is using the symbol font which is not on your linux system.
