|
|
Hi folks. I'm a noob using Base 2.0.2 with XP Pro SP2 and Java Runtime 1.5.0_06 and have a couple questions.
After I created 4 tables, I loaded up one table on a new Form and then added a Subform with another table on it. This was done with the Form Wizard.
When I open the Form, at the top, it says Table1 (read-only) - OpenOffice.Org Writer
When I add entries to the fields, they seem to be saving. Is this this the correct functionality? Should it save when it says (read-only) at the top of the page?
Also, when I try to create a new Form from scratch using "create form in design view" I get nowhere. I can't add any type of control such as a button to click and drag to the form.
How do I enable the form for adding and using interactive controls?
Many thanks for you input!

Only form layout and controls settings are read only, the linked tables and fields not.
