MySQL and Openoffice 2.0 Base

Hello I have create and SQL relational database structure in mySQL, I can connect to it using ODBC with mySQL Connector drivers and using openoffice Base I can see all my tables and I can even insert data directly into the tables in Base but this information does not get output back into the mySQL database upon save?

and .....

My other problem is that I would like to create some nice looking forms that might help facilitate to process of data input as you would normally expect. I go down to forms and click on it, both the create new form and create form wizard buttons are blanked out and i cannot click or use them.

also when i click the forms button on the tool bar the program crashes exits and asks me to reload and recover my database.

Can you please help me and possibly explain what the problem might be and if it is something that can be solved?
