Hello,
is it possible to access the "Old Style Figures" in OpenType fonts with Writer? These are hanging numbers were e.g. 3, 5, 7 and 9 hang a little bit lower than the rest of the text. Looks very good.
Thanks for your help!

I don't have any such fonts to test here, but it should be possible.
Control Shift S (insert special character)
Alter S (Subset)
P (Private Use Area)
If they exist in the font my guess is that is the first place to look. _________________ Fonts * Opera * Oo Tips * FAQ * New Forum

Probably everybody has OpenType Pro fonts on his computer. The free Adobe Reader 7 comes with four Minion Pro and four Myriad Pro fonts. They aren't in your systems font folder but at C:\Programs\Adobe\Acrobat 7.0\Resource\Font.
Your tip works ok. Thank you! But it's a real pita to pick all the numbers manually. Is it possible to do this with a script or so? |

I think the easiest way would be with a search and replace macro. See my Tips page for a macro that replaces ff ligatures. Modify that and assign it to a menu, shortcut, or toolbar.
See this thread for various ways of typing special characters.
Anyone still using Windows 9x will not have Open Type fonts. Adobe Reader 7.0 won't run on Windowx 9x. Be aware that OpenType fonts that contain Postscript outlines are not yet supported by Open Office when exporting to PDF. _________________ Fonts * Opera * Oo Tips * FAQ * New Forum
