Hi,
Today, I installed OpenOffice.org v2.0 (CD-ROM) on Win 98se. Then, I briefly tried to start each of its components to see what they had to offer.
After that I browsed with Internet Explorer 6 SP1, which started restarting my machine. Cleaning of temporary files didn't help, so I decided to restore the Registry of 2 days before this installation. This solved the problem, but starting OpenOffice from Start - Programs was no longer possible: "The Windows Installer failed to install the program associated with this file" - for every part of OpenOffice.
Therefore, I decided to uninstall OpenOffice. Unfortunately, there is no OpenOffice.org in Add/Remove Software reported! It's likely that these is due to the pre-installation Registry being used.
Anyway, I don't know how to uninstall now OpenOffice.org from my machine and I can't find this topic in Support.
Your help/comments would be appreciated.
Regards,
AndrewOO

If you install OOo again, then you should be able to uninstall it.

If you restore an old registry, then any program registrations since then will not show up so there will be no OOo uninstaller item.

By rolling back the registry, you essentially uninstalled OOo. You can now delete the directories it left behind:

C:\Program Files\OpenOffice.org 2.0
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\OpenOffice.org 2.0
C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\OpenOffice.org2

That should be everything. Alternately, as the previous post suggested, you can reinstall OOo and then uninstall it.
