|
|
| I have a jpg that I want to draw some lines on top of. I don't see how to do this. After I insert the jpg and go to freeform lines mode, when the cursor is over the picture, the freeform lines icon goes away. It appears to be telling me that I can't draw freeform lines there. |

| I don't get it. I clicked outside the drawing, but don't you have to click where you want to draw? That means I would have to click inside the drawing again. |

Jean's suggestion should help, but I find it next to impossible to work like this.
When I want to add stuff on top of a background image, I put the image on it's own layer and lock that layer, then do all the overlays on separate layers. That prevents Draw from selecting the background image as I'm working with the foreground objects. Helps me keep what little hair I still have

Click outside the drawing to deselect it before selecting the freeform line tool. |

I have found it very difficult to draw lines over any object, bitmap or even a simple draw shape.
Try putting the background picture on the master layer, and then closing the master layer to return to the normal one. It's on the view menu |
