Hi all,
I purchased a PC that came with OO2.0. I was curious and started to use Impress. What a joy! I had completed a presentation in about an hour. I am still struggling with Impress, mostly because I just started using it. For some functions, I was able to locate information on how to do them using the integrated Help, but I was not able to find out how to build a stand alone presentation.
What I would like to do is after finishing the presentation, have a short cut on the desktop so that when the user double clicks it, it starts. At this time I have something similar, but when I double click the icon, it only opens Impress with the presentation loaded. I would like it to start "playing". Very much like a viewer.
Is this possible? Thank you for your time and assistance

As far as I know has OOo/Impress not such a functionality. It's wished since a long time. A way around this is to export it as PDF. I was told that the newest version of OOo can export to PDF with the option to start in presentation mode. So you just click on the file and the presentation will start. However, some animations (sounds, movies, ...) will get lost. But it will look everywhere the same . Please correct me if I'm wrong.
A viewer I found is here:

I don't about the quality of this tool since I don't use it. _________________ joerg04
