| Is there a way to add more available fonts to the drop down font slecter box thing? im on macbook if it matters |

it does matter, unfortunatly.
for the mac, openoffice.org does not use the native OS fonts. You can add any TTF fonts to it you want, but will probably have to convert them.
there is a program called Fondu which will do this conversion. and there was work to add all of that functionality to the oo.o applescript, but i do not think that part has been done. if not, you will need to install and run fondu (fondu is a command line program) then move those fonts to the oo.o package. it is not hard, just tedious. |

just as a follow up, it looks like fondu has been included in the most recent builds and should automatically run, pulling your system fonts over.
i have not tested this myself... but that is the word on the porting list. |
