Has anyone managed to get japanese input (via kinput2, you can install it from Fink) working with OOo 1.1.0 on Mac OS X (10.2.x aka Jaguar)?
I have cannaserver running, then I start X11 (Apple X11 Beta 3), open an xterm and enter the following (which would be sufficient to make it work on Linux):
export XMODIFIERS="@im=kinput2"
LANG=ja_JP LC_ALL=ja_JP kinput2 -xim -kinput -canna &
LANG=ja_JP LC_ALL=ja_JP /usr/local/OpenOffice.org1.1.0/program/swriter
OOo launches and I can even activate kinput2 by pressing "SHIFT-SPACEBAR", but I cannot enter anything. Only consonants appear while typing and everything disappears as soon as I hit "ENTER", sometimes OOo (or kinput2) even locks up... _________________ "Yuki is in the eye of the beholder." -- MT pun #1 |

Did you find a way to input Japanese charaters on Open office trought X11 ??
Do you know when OOo will take advantage of OSX interface?
Thanks
