Opening MSWord, MSExcel and PowerPoint files

i'm a newbie in this forum and i i have a couple of questions:

¿In what part of the OpenOffice.org code can i find the algorithm to open MSWord, MSExcel and MSPowerPoint files? and ¿In what part of the code can show the contents of the files?

thanks for your help, but i have a little more question: ¿where is this filters? and ¿Can i use this filters to make a program that can view, print and make presentations of the MSWord, excel and PowerPoint files?
