,WID Files

Hi,

Newbie...not sure if I'm in the right place...

I have some files with the .WID extension, which I understand are Venura Publisher files of some sort. Can I use OpenOffice (or some component...) to view these files? If so, what do I do / download. If not, sorry to have wasted your time. Maybe someone could point me in the right direction...

Seems I can't use any component of MS Office to open these...

Unfortunately, it doesn't look like OOo can open WID files.

Chances are, only Ventura will be able to open Ventura documents, although I might be wrong about that. That is the fun with working with proprietary file formats. You have to have the one program (and sometimes, the one version of the one program) to open the file.
