Not sure if I can describe exactly what I am after, I just hope you guys understand anyway.
I think it would be really cool to make "tabs", such as can be seen in many catalogues. This to make it easier to thumb through a large document. Basically a square or such on the edge of the page in the outer margin (to the right on right pages, and vice versa).
So far, I tried to define chapter page styles, but unless it's in the header or footer, it won't stick. _________________ Linux user

Take a look at the Navigator (F5) which can be docked on the left or right with the Styles Palette. You can navigate using headings or bookmarks.. Or click the blue button at the bottom of the scroll bar to navigate to the next/previous bookmark or heading instead of next or previous page (the default). _________________ Fonts * Opera * Oo Tips * FAQ * New Forum

Thanks, I think that may help, but not this time.
I mean when a document is printed, there would be thumbs, or tabs on different position along the edge of the book, denoting different chapters. _________________ Linux user |

Insert a frame into the header/footer (ie. anchor it there) and drag it to the required position on the page.
Whether or not you can print these close enough to the edge of the page for your purposes will depend on your printer. _________________ Dale

Thanks, it worked nicely. I was so set on anchors just moving about if placed far enough away from the object.
Yes the printers performance needs to be taken into account, but at least it can be done in the document. _________________ Linux user |
