|
|
In MS Word, you are able to remove a hyperlink/mailto link by right-clicking on the highlighted link and clicking remove. Is there a way to do this in OO? I have looked at the hyperlink dialog box as well as in the AutoCorrect area (where I have unchecked the hyperlink boxes) but I still cannot remove the hyperlink from the text. OO does not put a hyperlink in a word document if it a web/email address is typed in, but if I copy an email address, or url from somewhere else, it hyperlinks it.
Thanks for the help. |

Position the cursor over the hyperlink.
Right click. then choose Character.
In the dialog box, click the Hyperlink tab.
Highlight the text in the URL field.
Delete it by hitting the Delete key.
Click OK. |

Select the text including the link, and press Control Shift Spacebar (or Format, Default formatting). _________________ Fonts * Opera * Oo Tips * FAQ * New Forum

Thank you all for the help. I have been able to remove the hyperlinks from the text as they appear, but I am wondering if there is a way to set the default to not create a hyperlink when you type a URL into the text document.
Thank you again for all the help. |

Yes. The Help file has some excellent instructions on different ways to accomplish that. Look for "turn off automatic recognition" under "hyperlinks" in the index. _________________ Cheers!
