I don't think so.
How does an outline relate to a flow chart? Can you give a little example? |

Flow chart might not be the best name for this type of diagram. I will try to explain:
| Code: | I. Fruit
A. Apples
1. Fuji
2. Gala
3. Granny Smith
B. Pears
1. Snow
2. Plymouth
3. Ya |
Fruit would from the central-most rectangle.
Apples and Pears would be two separate rectangles, branching from Fruit
Fuji, Gala, and Granny Smith would all branch outward from the Apples rectangle.
Snow, Plymouth, and Ya would branch outward from the Pears rectangle. |

Ah, I see. Yes, that would be more properly called, in English anyway, a "graph"--an almost completely ambiguous term--or a "tree diagram".
That would be a nice feature, but as far as I know, nothing like that exists.
Freemind will let you go the other way: draw a graph and export that to an OOo Writer file containing an outline, but it will not import an outline made in Writer.
It looks like there are some scripts floating around that convert text outlines to graph diagrams; you can Google for them as well as I can.
I have used Freemind, but have no real experience with any of the scripts. |

I had a similar problem with a story I started writing. I needed to do a If/Then flowchart to help work out the bugs.
The best solution for me was these two inventions some of you younger people may not have heard of called paper and a pencil. The second device even had a special "deletion" device at one end to take care of corrections. There is also an "app" called a "dictionary" (sold separately) to help you spell check.
Sorry... could not help myself |
