jodconverter & OOo headless help

signed up at rimuhosting since that's where mirko hosts his jodconvertor.

attempted for the last two days to get OOo as a service to run as a
background process for eventually converting email attachments to
pdfs(from zend_mail). i haven't been developing on the linux cmd line for a few year; any help on setting up headless OOo on centos (most of the
OOo/jodconvertor resources i've found online are dated more than a
year in the past, most of the jodconvertor installations are either
for debian or ubunto).

removed previous installation: sudo yum remove openoffice.org*

then installed the headless/gui-less installation of OOo:

(sudo apt-get install openoffice.org-core)
sudo apt-get install openoffice.org-headless



/usr/lib/openoffice.org/program/soffice -headless -accept="socket,host=127.0.0.1,port=8100;urp;" -nofirststartwizard

returns an error message::

Set DISPLAY environment variable, use -display option
or check permissions of your X-Server
(See "man X" resp. "man xhost" for details)

My X11 directory contains:

the only usable "X" command is:

Xvfb

returning error:

Fatal server error:
no screens found
