Table Cell Formatting

Hi,

I am not able to do any table cell formatting with the Open Office Writer.
If i need to add a new cell to the existing table and if i need to delete a cell from an existing table, how should i go about?

Please explain.

You cannot, if I understand your question. You can add a column or a row but not a single cell as far as I know. Writer tables are rectangular. To add a column or row Table > Insert >

I can't imagine a scenario in which you would need to add or delete a single cell in a table. Are you working with tables that originated in Writer, or did they come in from Word? I'm wondering whether the single cells you're referring to might be merged cells.

If not, I wonder if you might be able to explain in detail your problem and what you're trying to accomplish. We might be misunderstanding your question, or perhaps there's a better way to do whatever it is you need to do. Wink
