Hi after a lot of compiling hours; i've succesfully (apparently) compiled OO 1.0.2, when i try to execute the setup (xterm) process, after a while it creates the dir structure, it makes some symlinks, and shows a install completed message.
but when i checked the installation dir, it's empty.. all the installed directories are empty.
My system is Linux gcc 3.2
what can i do, any help?
is there a way to manually extract or copy from source tree all the binaries i need?
Thanks a lot for any help |

here's what's happening
OpenOffice-1.0.2 compiled fine, but the installation only makes the
directory structure for it under /opt/openoffce. There are no libraries
and no other binaries copied over, but just a bunch of broken links. This
is my second build and same problem over the last day.
I searched the archives and didn't even find a reference to this problem.
Any ideas, or references as to what stupid thing I did wrong this time? As
far as I could tell I had a good build, no halts, no errors (I see the
libraries throughout the source directory)... just a really big source
directory now
The output form the install just says:
<a whole lot of directories made successfully>
...
make directory: /opt/openoffice/share/gnome/net
make directory: /opt/openoffice/share/gnome
unpack file: /opt/openoffice/share/template/english/wizard/tplwizletter01.zip
Installation Completed
No errors, and no binaries copied over as the result. |
