Here is my question: I have a chart that looks like this in Quattro Pro.
Now, when I attempt to create a mixed lline & bar chart in Calc, the only option I can find is a stacked bar & line chart that ends up looking like this
I was impressed with how easy it was to change to the mixed line bar format in Calc, and think the "n" number of lines system, automagically assigning the last "n" series to line format, is great. However, I don't want to be forced to use a stacked bar with the lines. Is this possible in Calc? _________________ Noho ora mai, ka kite ano.

I cannot even create a MIXED line / bar graph... I'm still looking but WOW.. real snag.
I am trying to create a mixed line / bar graph.
the X axis is "weeks"
the Y axis is
amount 1
amount 2
amount 3.
I want 1 and 2 to show up as lines and amount 3 to show up as a bar chart.. In microsoft I just have to right click the line of choice and pick bar graph and JUST THAT INFO CHANGES |

Yes Max, I see 5 variants of the Column chart , the 4th one is Combination chart Lines and Columns. You will need to order your data columns into Columns first then Lines.

Can't do Bars(horizontal) and Lines; only Columns(vertical) and Lines
There is a lot of work going on to redevelop the charting functionality see http://graphics.openoffice.org/chart/chart.html |
