We are trying to switch from MS Office to OpenOffice.
We have an example fax document, which we use in word tot change and then sent over the fax.
When I open it in write, it doesn't look like the original form. Some frame is included, and i cannot see where it comes from. I deleted al kind of stuff out of the original form, but write kept including the frame. Furthermore the foottext from the original document disapears when I open it in write.
Can anyone help me any further?? |

Can you upload the Word file somewhere on a file sharing web site ? Or PM me, I'll give you my mail. _________________ Now on the EN user community forum |

Well, after seeing the file, this kind of issue is rather specific to the layout set first in MS Word. In this case, there was a table overlaping both header and text body. I seems it resulted in a draw object (a line) taking too much space around it.
Space was also too big for footer paragraph style. Unchecking the Use dynamic spacing in the Header/footer tabs of the page style helped also.
The only advice for such problems is to play with the different options. _________________ Now on the EN user community forum |
