I suggest having a templates section for people to upload.
The current templates section of OOo is old and poor quality.
I would like us to build up something like the range and quality of templates seen in MS Publisher, for example.
Ideally it would have a thumbnail browser, and be sortable / searchable. |

It sounds as though you are looking for a job. It's harder to volunteer than you might think but I suppose that's what you should do.
I believe you apply to join the documentation project. You'll have to subscribe to some mailing list. I don't know what happens after that. _________________ search forum by month |

Thanks for the link, but what is Oxygen Office? Its web site is confusing, and how can I see the templates before installing them, and why doesn't it appear in either Debian or Ubuntu repositories?

I have a few templates that I can share. Nothing special, but I need a place to share them to. Why doesn't such a place already exist within these forums?
I don't mean to sound like I'm complaining, I thought this forum was for suggestions. |

Oxygen Office is a separately developed version of the software with additional fonts, templates and something else I can't remember.
There are a growing number of things which need changing about the forum. I am mulling over the possibility of initiating a discussion in General Discussion. It's a matter of striking the right note.
You may have noticed a few threads here which raise performance issues. There are also other administrative shortcomings including the need for consideration of suggestions such as yours by someone who has the power to implement them. _________________ search forum by month |
