Hi,
I am using the latest unstable on one desktop and the latest etch Debian linux on a labtop. After the last update of Openoffice I encountered several crashes (and recoveries of the files).
In one case I could reproduce the error: In acrobat I opened a pdf-file and copied a text element. this was loaded into an impress text field. After decreasing the font size that the text fitted into the field I removed the linebreaks manually. When I removed the last linebreak, Impress crashed; this was reproducible
However, when entering into the text after the last linebreak, going to the end of text, clicking delete once and removing the linebreak from the beginning of this lasttext item, no crash happened.
In Draw I encountered crashes which I cannot pin down so far.
The Oo version 2.0.4 on linux testing. obtained by de.debian.org
The debian archive openoffice.org-core 2.0.4.dfsg.2-5 of Febr 15 2007
these crashed make the program unreliable.

Why not installing 2.1 from the official OOo RPMs and converting them with alien ? I do that for each [OOo] upgrade on my Ubuntu and it works fine. _________________ Now on the EN user community forum |

Hi,
with the stable version of Debian to come, the freeze of the testing and unstable version will be lifted and new versions available. Since I am using Oo only occasionally, I can wait.
