| OO gives a way to prevent editing of a file with the Insert, Section, Protect with password. How can the section be unprotected so it can be edited again? |

In the very same dialog, you can uncheck the protection. You cann access it via the Navigator (F5), right click on the section (expand the Section tree).
Thanks to add '[Solved]' in your first post title (edit button) if your issue has been fixed. _________________ Now on the EN user community forum |

Are you saving in .odt ?
Can you upload a sample on a file sharing web site (like mytempdir.com) ? and post the link here ? _________________ Now on the EN user community forum |

yes i am.
i noticed another problem. if you uncheck the password protect box before you save the section stays in the document. how do you get rid of it? it does not show up in the stylist. |

There is no link between the existence of a section and its password. A sectino is a section, it doesn't need a password at all, it's an attribute, like 'hidden'.
I think we need to see your file to investigate. Is it read/write or read-only BTW ? _________________ Now on the EN user community forum |
