I imagine you are referring to date and time fields within documents.
When you create a field you have a choice of what type of field it is - auto updating or not.
On my system (2.1, linux) if you just use insert-field-date you get the "fixed" variant. If you use inster-field-other you get the whole pick-list gadget and can choose fixed or variable dates.
You can highlight any field, right-click on it and get the pick-list gadget back to make changes.
The other thing to be aware of are the document properties (creation date, modified date etc) These are taken from the file system values - but when you insert them using insert-field-other-(DocInformation tab) then there is a checkbox called "fixed content" that might be of use. As far as I know this will freeze at the current value. |
