i tried using 'create table in design view' and 'use wizard to create table'. i also removed and re-installed openoffice. can someone please help?

Have you supplied a column size for VARCHAR ID?

If you are using the table design UI, these options should be at the bottom of the screen (Field Properties)

You should install the latest JRE from http://java.sun.com (1.5.0_11), I've found that 1.5.0_6 doesn't work with Ooo Base.

However since Ooo 2.0.4 I've had problems while importing/converting tables especially using ODBC driver so I'm still using 2.0.3.

If you can't resolve your problem, try with this version.
