I have protected all the cells in a worksheet and using Tools>Protect Document>Sheet have entered a password (twice) to lock the sheet.
When I close and re-open the document, I go to Tools>Protect Document and note that there is a check mark next to Sheet. On an inconsistent basis, if I simply click on Sheet, it unlocks the sheet without requiring me to enter the password.
I don't want my client fooling around with the formulas. What's my problem with sheet protection? Thanks. |

My guess is that you have saved the document as .xls. IIRC, that is regarded as an expected loss when using a foreign format. _________________ search forum by month |

Thanks, noranthon!
True, the file was saved as an .xls file. Would a 'workaround' be to re-save the document at the client's location using Excel?
Thanks. |
