|
|
Hi,
Just to let the OOo 'team' know..... I'm connecting to an Oracle database using the ojdbc14.jar driver. But when I click on a table to view its contents, OOo crashes. I can give more details if you ask for specifics.
Regards
Version: OOo 2.2
OS: SuSE10.2 86x_64.
JRE: jre1.5.0_11 32bit |

Is it the same problem as reported at this thread http://www.oooforum.org/forum/viewtopic.phtml?t=54811?

Are you using the OOo version of SuSE or did you download your version from http://www.openoffice.org?

If you want to report it to the OOo developers, read more About OOo Issues and Submit an Issue.

Yes, that's right Mark B.
The other thread was about OOo 2.0.4 that came bundled with SuSE 10.2. It wouldn't load any version of the ojdbc.jar driver.
In this thread, I am referencing the newest version, OOo 2.2.0. It loads all versions of ojdbc.jar, and it connects and reads-in the tables. But it crashes when I click on a table to view it.
I had great success with prior versions of OOo on Windows. It's just ironic that it crashes on Linux
hol.sten, I might do as you suggest, and file a report. My first priority is getting a db client for my Oracle. Gotta start working...... |

| By the way, I'd like to try some older versions of OOo. Does anyone know where to find them? |

| Thanks DrewJensen, I've seen that link posted elsewhere. I didn't see my SuSE 10.x listed in there. I'll probably just use Oracle's SQL Loader until OOo gets this resolved. |

Hey Slipstream,
Did you report this issue to the OOo developers? Just FYI, I'm using OOo 2.2, jre1.5.0_11, and ojdbc14.jar on Windows XP and I'm getting the exact same error you are. |

| I am also having problems with the jt400.jar (like lxzndr). WinXP , jre 1.6.0 Further, when the database application doesn't crash, the tables open up as read only and cannot be edited |
