Interesting spellcheck problem after loading 2.2 (Solved)

I installed OO 2.2 today, just to try it out I added a couple of paragraphs in a document created on StarOffice 8.

This document contains a few scientific terms that that spellcheck does not like, but I noticed although it highlighted those terms in everyrthing created by StarOffice, it did not in the newly created text.

After saving and then opening in StarOffice the spell check highlighted just about every word which was not surprising as it insists that these 2 paragraphs are French, and wants to spell check them as such.

The problem seems to have been the locale setting in OO which for some odd reason had set itself to French (Belgium)

Problem solved, but after changing the local, both OO and SO still think these two particular paragraphs need to be checked using a French dictionary. Its only a couple of minutes retyping to do, but surely there must be a simple way of correcting this?
