I ran into the same problem as 312sycamore. I will add that everything works EXcept
the quickstart. Is there a work around to this?
Quick note: All my shortcuts for open office work. I updated from 2.0.3 to 2.2
Running xp with sp2 |

After installation, have you tried Tools - Options - OpenOffice.org - Memory - select Load OpenOffice.org during startup? _________________ Krithivasan |

Have you upgraded or installed OOo for the first time ? If it's an upgrade, the old shortcuts don't work, you've to use those of the new folder created in the Start menu and replace those that were already on your desktop. The new icons can be drag'n dropped on the desktop.
No clue for the quickstarter, this is rather strange. Are you sure the icon is not hidden in the systray ? Windows often hide shortcuts not used often. _________________ Now on the EN user community forum |

OOo does not install icons in the desktop. If you want one, you can click on Start -> Programs -> OpenOffice.org then RIGHT-CLICK on one of the OOo applications, select Copy, then RIGHT-CLICK on your desktop and select Paste. _________________ OpenOffice Enterprise Deployment & Management
