I am running 2.0.2 and have downloaded 2.2.0.
Being a new boy, but geritric with it, I am unsure if installing 2.2.0 over 2.0.2 will be a seamless update, as M$ pretend IE/OE to be, or if I need to do a complete new install.
Any help would be more than appreciated.
Thanks

Don't forget to search the forum, this has been asked many times already
See here for example : How install the new version?
As you update from a 2.0.# version, you will have a OpenOffice.org 2.0 folder remaining in the Program Files folder, you can delete it after the update.
Thanks to add '[Solved]' in your first post title (edit button) if your issue has been fixed. _________________ Now on the EN user community forum |

By heck that was quick.
I had just posted my query, and it was up loading, when the 'phone rang. By the time I had dealt with the caller my post was on the screen (with spelling error). So I editted the error and reposted it, only to find an answer awaiting me.
That's better service than M$!!!
Thanks, Hagar de l'Est. _________________ As one door shuts another closes |

Werll thanks again, Hagar de l'Est, but, after looking at various comments and views, it sounds as though I might as well wait a while.
There seems to be a view that what I am proposing to install is not very different from what I am already using. That, coupled with the suggestion that there is the 'next issue' just round the corner, leads me to think I should shelve the project for a little while. _________________ As one door shuts another closes |
